Mary was born on Friday, 17 May 1675 in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut.1,2 Mary made her will on 22 December 1744 at Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.
I Mary Holcomb, in the Town of Simsbury, do make this my last will and testament: I give to my brother Benjamin Holcomb my Bible, to be his forever, and the Lord be with him. I give to my sister Esther Higley my best quilt and a pair of silver clasps, to be hers forever. I give unto my four sisters, viz, Ester aforesd., Katherine Messenger, Margaret North and Sarah Barbour, all the rest of muy estate which I shall leave aftermy decease, after debts and charges are paid, to be theirs forever, to be equally divided between them. And my will further is, that the aforenamed Katherine and Margaret shall have their part or proportion in beds, bedding and wearing apparel. I constitute my brother Benjamin to be the sole executor. – Mary X Holcomb – Witness: Brester Higley Jr., Joseph Higley, John Higley.2
Mary departed this life in Simsbury. Her will was probated on 4 June 1745.3
