     John de was born circa 1350 in County Suffolk, England. John was admitted Fellow to Peterhouse College, a college of Cambridge University on August 1 of 1393. He was later senior tutor of the college (equivalent to head master) and Chancellor of Cambridge University. He was chaplin to Henry V and Henry VI. He was a mathematician and was the author of Tabulae Astronomicae. A book written in the late 1900's indicates the book was still in use at this time. He is noted as a principal in a pleading at Holton, County Suffolk in 1382.
