Elizabeth was born on Monday, 10 June 1805 in Westbury, Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. She was the daughter of Isaac Hicks & Sarah Doughty of Westbury. Elizabeth married Dr. William Ferris Seaman, son of Dr. Valentine Seaman and Anna Ferris, on 30 October 1822 in Westbury, Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York, at the Friend's Meeting House.1,2 William & Elizabeth had children: William [5/07/1824-3/26/19825] & Sarah [11/26/1825-2/26/1828]. The family lived at 300 Pearl Street across the street from the store of Howard & Clinton Leggett. Elizabeth's husband, William, died on 12 January 1827 in New York City at the family home at 300 Pearl Street leaving her a widow. Elizabeth married 2nd William Townsend Cock circa 1830 in New York. Elizabeth departed this life on Monday, 2 January 1865 in Westbury, Hempstead Town at age 59 years, 6 months and 23 days.
