     Richard was born in London, County Middlesex, England. He was of London. Richard married Elizabeth Lock, daughter of Sir William Lock and Lady Katherine Cook, in 1550. He and Elizabeth were blessed with 13 children of whom only some are known. Elizabeth had 4 children by the time she was twenty years of age.. He was of Milk Street and was a mercer. During the reign of Queen Mary in 1555, Richard & Elizabeth went to the lowlands in Antwerypin the Dutchy of Brabant to avoid persecution. Since their daughter, Katherine, was only an infant at the time, they left her with someone in London. In 1558, when Elizabeth became Queen, they returned to London. Richard departed this life in September 1568 in Newington Green, Islngton, London, County Middlesex, England.
