     Johan Andreas was born on Tuesday, 9 January 1787 in Frederick Town, Frederick County, Maryland. He was christened there on 30 March 1787 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church. His sponsors were Michael Koller & his wife, Eleanora.1 Andrew married Mary Ann Brunner on 25 July 1809 in Frederick County, Maryland. Andreas & Mary Ann had children: Charlotte 12/08/1809-8/02/1865], William David [7/08/1812-1/08/1883][m. 10/12/1833 Louisa Bentz], Ann Elizabeth [10/03/1814-8/27/1831], Oliver Perry [3/13/1817, Jacob Brunner [8/16/1819-1/26/1870][m.4/11/1844 Anna Christina Smith], Thomas Andrew [11/15/1821-6/04/1859][m. 12/10/1846 Mary Jane Smith], Edward Charles [3/22/1824] & Lewis Augustus [9/13/1827-3/09/1867][m. 12/15/1860 Euphrosina Foster]. 1850, Andrew and his wife, Mary, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Frederick Town, Frederick County, Maryland. Enumerated in this household were Andrew Heim [63 Maryland - carpenter], his wife: Mary [61 Maryland], Charlotte [38 Maryland], Augustus [21 Maryland - clerk] & Elizabeth McCollock [45 Maryland]. The value of his real estate is $2,200.2 Johan's wife, Mary, died on 1 November 1857 in Frederick Town leaving him a widower. 7 June 1860, Andrew was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Frederick City, Frederick County, Maryland. Enumerated in this household were Andrew Heim [73 Maryland - merchant], Eliza McCully [65 Maryland], Charlotte Heim [44 Maryland], Augustus Heim [30 Maryland], Thomas Fech [20 Maryland - clerk] & Rose Farhin [17 Maryland]. His property was valued at real property $3,200 & personal $5,200.3 Johan made his will on 1 July 1868.

In the name of God Amen I Andrew Heim of the City of Baltimore State of Maryland considering the uncertainty of this life and being of Sound mind and memory blessed be almighty God for the Same do make and publish this my Last Will and testament as follows -
Item 1st It is my will and desire that all my Jut debts and funeral charges be paid our of my Estate y my Executors hereafter named as soon after my decease as Shall be then be fourd convenient
Item 2nd Supposeing my son Oliver to be dead in Satisfaction of his inheritance from my Estate I give and bequeath to his Son Andrew the Sum of one Thousand Dollars to be paid when he arrives at the age of majority but in te event of his death before that time then the Said Sum of one Thousand Dollars to be equally divided between my Grand Children Robert A Heim Mary Heim and Willie Heim Children of my Son Thomas Heim deceased and John Lewis abd Maurice Augustus Heim Children of my Son Lewis Augustus Heim died
Item 3rd I give and bequeath to my Grand Children Robert A Heim Mary Heim and Willie Heim Children of my Son Thomas Heim deceased in Satisfaction of his inheritance from my Estte the Sum of Five Hundred dollars to each of the three named Children to be paid them as they each Severely arrive at the age of majority
Item 4th I give devise andbequeath to my Grand Children John Lewus Heim and Maurice Augustus Heim Children of my Son Lewis Augustus Heim deceased in Satisfaction of his inheritance form my Estate the sum of Seven Hundred Dollars to each of the two named Children to be paid them as they each Severely arrive at the age of majority but in the event of the death of these tow Children before they arrive at majority then their portion to be equally divided between my legal heirs.
Item 5th It is my will and desire that the Said Several sums of money as aforesaid bequeathed to my Said Grand Children Should be placed upon interest by my Executors hereinafter named with the interest to be advanced annually to each one named for the benefit and in case the principal or any part should become actually needed for there Sustenance and Support my Said Executors in their discretion may pay the Sum as it becomes absolutely necessary
Item 6th Not having heard from my Son Edward for more than ten years past and as no certain knowledge if he is living or dead in Satisfaction of his inheritance from my Estate I order and direct my Executors to put out on Interest the Sum of One Thousand Dollars for the Said Edward in case he prove to believing of if dead and Left legitimate Children to inherit the Said Sum and for this purpose my Executors are to make diligent energies to ascertain if my Said sin Edward is living or dead and from all the Information they can obtain become Satisfied that my Said Son Edward is dead and left no legitimate children then the Said one thousand Dollars with the Interest thereon herein Set apart for my Son Edward I Give and bequeath to my Sons William David and Jacob B. Heim to be equally divided between them
Item 7th In consideration of living the remaining years of my life with my two Sons William D and Jacob Heim all the rest and residue of my Estate Real Personal or Mixed of which I Shall die Seized and possessed or to which I Shall be entitled at the time of my decease I hereby Give devise and bequeath to be equally divided to and among my Sons Jacob B and William D. Heim
And Lastly I hereby nominate and appoint my two Sons Jacob B and William D Heim to be the Executors of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all other wills by me made and ratifying this and no other as my last will and testament – In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the first day of July AD 1868

23 June 1870, the U.S. Federal Census listed Andrew living in the home of his son at Delaware Township, Defiance County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were W. D. Heim [58 Maryland - retired lawyer], Andrew Heim [84 Maryland - retired merchant], Charles [37 Maryland - painter], Henry [25 Ohio - surgeon dentist] & servant: C. Leiberdefer [26 Wurtenburg].4 Andrew departed this life on Sunday, 2 April 1871 in Delaware Township in the home of his son Wiliam David at age 84 years, 2 months and 24 days. He was buried at Frederick City in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
