George was born circa 1675 in Conaicut Island, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. George made his will on 31 October 1726.
The Last Will and Testament of George Heavens of Fisher Island in the Government of New York in America Alies of the Town of Westerly in the Government of Rhode Island in New England being sick of body byt in perfect mind and memory and calling to mind the mortality of his Body doth make constitute and ordain this to be his last Will and Testament, and in the first place I bequeath my Soul to God that gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial according the Direction of my Executrix here after named and in the distribution of all such Worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with all I doe dispose of as followeth in the first place my Will is that all my Just debts and funeral charges be paid by my Executrix hereafter named Imprimis I give and bequeath to my two eldest sons Edward Heavens and George Heavens to them their heirs and assigns forever all my land lying by the County Road in South Kings Town that I now have that I bought of John Richmond and in the Town of Westerly that I bought of David Lewis and Bengamin Rundalls lying by said Road which is called the Sea Side Firme to be equally divided between them their heirs and assigns forever they yielding and paying each of them one hundred pounds a piece to my fifth son Thurston Heavens when he shall come to the age of twenty one years and if the said Thurston Heavens shall die before he comes to the age of twenty one years then they shall pay the two hundred pounds to my three youngest daughters Hannah Heavens Mary Heavens and Ruth Heavens to be equally divided between them and if my two Sons Edward Heavens and George Heavens or either of them both refuse to pay the Sum of one hundred pounds a piece as is by this Will orderd then his or their part of land shall be Leased out till such time as the Rent produce the aforesaid two hundred pounds which I give and bequeath to my fifth son Thurston Heavens for his portion if he live to come to the age of twenty one years and if not then to be divided as tis above expressed between my three Daughters. Imprimis I give and bequeath to my third son Willaim Heavens that farm that I bought of James Adams lying in the Town of Westerly in the Colony of Rhode Island adjoining to Pacutuck River for his part or portion to him his heirs and assigns forever Imprimis I give and bequeath to my fourth son Ebenezer Heavens and my sixth son John Heavens my Farm that I bought of John Witter lying in the Town of Westerly above said to them their heirs and assigns for ever to be equally divided between them with the Housing and Fencing thereon and my will is that either of my sons that I have gave land to by this Will shall Dye before he come to the age of twenty one year of without lawfull Issue that their that part of land that was given to him shall be equally divided between the Surviving Brothers that shall live to come to the age of twenty one year. Imprimis I give and bequeath to my Eldest Daughter Eleanor Daniell five shillings and the Reason that I give her no more is because she has had her portion already Imprimis I give and bequeath to my second Daughter Abigail Fish five shillings and no more and the reason that I give her no more is because that she has had her portion already Imprimis I give and bequeath to my three youngest daughters Hannah Heavens Mary Heavens and Ruth Heavens thirty pounds a piece to be paid to each of them at their marriage Day or when they shall to the age of eighteen years old to by paid to them by my Executrix Imprimis I give and bequeath to my well beloved Wife Mary Heavens all the remainder Part of my Estate both Slaves Chattles household good whatsoever and wheresoever it may be together with all the profits of the lands above disposed of for the paying of debts and the bringing up of my Children till such time my youngest child comes to the age of twenty years and then the land to be as above disposed of and the moveable Estate to remain to my Wife and be at her disposing as she shall see cause and I do further be this my last Will and Testament ordain constitute and appoint my well beloved wife Mary Heavens and no other to be my sole executrix to this my last Will and Testament and I do further constitute ordain and ratify and confirm this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament revoking all other and former Will and Testament pronouncing an proclaiming and establishing this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In confirmation hereof this thirty first day of October 1726 and in the thirteenth year of his magesties Reign George King of Great Britain
