Elizabeth Hammond

     Elizabeth was born in 1622. She was the daughter of William Hammond and Elizabeth Penn of London. Her mother was the sister of William Penn the Quaker. She immigrated with her mother and siblings in 1634. Elizabeth married Yelverton Crowell, son of John Crowe and Nazareth Yelverton, circa 1640 in Massachusetts.¹ Elizabeth's husband, Yelverton, died on 24 October 1683 in Yarmouth leaving her a widow. Elizabeth departed this life in November 1703 in Yarmouth at age 81 years.
