Samuel was born circa 1669 in Eastchester, Westchester County, New York. Samuel married Charity Field, daughter of Anthony Field and Sarah (?), circa 1691 in Eastchester, Westchester County, New York. By 1700, Samuel and his family had moved from East Chester to Flushing where his family had removed to several years earlier. He spent the rest of his life there. Since Samuel died a few months before his father, his son James inherited his land from his grandfather. He was a Quaker. Samuel is not found on the census taken in Flushing in 1698. He must still be in Eastchester. Samuel departed this life in July 1712 at the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York, [5th month]. Samuel had passed away just before his father wrote his will on the 21st of September. It appears that Charity must be the granddaughter of Robert I and with the process of delination have choosen Anthony as her father - further work needs to be done on this. [klm]

Chester list of rates in 1699-1700. Perhaps this Samuel may have lived in E. Chester a few years about the time of his becoming of age, and then removed to Flushing. [See (2628).]
