Johann Philip Haag

     Johann Philip was born on Thursday, 11 April 1771 in Tulpehocken Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. On 5 May 1771, he was christened in Bernville, Berks County, Pennsylvania, at Northkill Church. Christening records note his sponsons: Christopher Kern & wife Catharine Margaret.¹ Johann married Charlotta Bosshart circa 1790 in Pennsylvania. Johann departed this life on Wednesday, 17 July 1850 in Milville Township, Butler County, Ohio, at age 79 years, 3 months and 6 days. He was buried there in Brosius Cemetery.
