     John was born after 1691 in Eastchester, Westchester County, New York. He was not yet twenty-one years in his father's will of 1712. John married Phebe Titus on 14 March 1716 in Newtown, Queens County, Long Island, New York. At a meeting.of the Quakers held at the house. of Robert Field. [1st month] John made his will on 10 April 1740. He mentions his wife Phebe, his mother Sarah Haight, six daughters, and a "negro wench Hannah." John departed this life on Friday, 13 May 1740 in the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York. His will was probated on 12 June 1740. His will was recorded in New York City.

Phebe Titus,* March 14, 1716 (2842); a Friend ; lived in Flushing; d. May 13, 1740. John Haight was a witness of his sister Mary's mar., 1711, and of others in '17, '19. By his father's will, 1712, he received the "Dwelling house, barn, orchard, and all my Lands and Meadows Lying in the Township of Flushing," except what was otherwise disposed of. He was to take possession of one half on his marriage day, or at the age of 21, and of the other half at the decease of his mother. John Haight was a witness at Hempstead in 1733. His will, rec. at N. Y. City, was dated April 1.0, proved June 12, 1740. In it he mentions his wife Phebe, his mother Sarah Haight, six daus., and a " negro wench Hannah." Wid.
