Marie-Francoise Guillin

Marie-Francoise was born in Rouen, Normandy, France. In the spring of 1668, Marie-Francoise left her home in France aboard the ship, "La Novelle France", departing from La-Rochelle, under command of Alain Durand. She was one of 81 "Filles-du-Roi". They arrived Quebec on the 3rd of July. She brought with her a dowery of 300 livres..1 She was 1st married to Andre Trajot. A contract for the marriage of Marie-Francoise & Claude Robillard was signed on 9 January 1709. It was drawn up by notary Lepailleur.. Marie-Francoise married 2nd Claude Robillard on 27 January 1709 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 Marie-Francoise's husband, Claude, died on 25 May 1719 in St-Sulpice, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. Marie-Francoise departed this life in St-Sulpice. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Sulpice on Sunday, 9 November 1732.3
