Deborah Greene

     Deborah was born on Wednesday, 10 September 1704 in Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of John & Patience Greene. Deborah married John Torrey, son of Lieut. John Torrey and Mary Symmes, on 11 September 1725 in Weymouth. John and Deborah had children: Ruth [8/02/1726-5/09/1805] [m. 10/11/1747 Thomas Torrey son of Phillip Torrey and Mary Marsh], Deborah [11/02/1727-11/22/1729], John [8/03/1729-11/22/1739], Deborah [9/2/1731-][m. 11/20/1752 Jacob Wright of Plympton], Benjamin [9/23/1734-11/15/1806][m. Sarah White], Silas [11/12/1736-5/06/1739], John [10/11/1741-1767 died at sea][m. ____ Richards] & Silas [7/30/1746].¹ Deborah's husband, John, died in April 1772 in Weymouth leaving her a widow. Deborah departed this life on Friday, 23 February 1781 in Weymouth at age 76 years, 5 months and 13 days. She was buried there in North Weymouth Cemetery.
