Edward was born circa 1635 in England. He first appeared in New England at Hartford as a shoemaker. Edward married Elizabeth Andrews, daughter of William Andrews and Abigail Graves, on 3 May 1654 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut.4 Edward's wife, Elizabeth, died before 1662 in Hartford leaving him a widower. Edward married 2nd Hannah Wakefield, daughter of John Wakefield and Ann (?), circa 1662 in Hartford. The family moved around 1670 to Hadley, and later in 1677 they moved again to New Haven Colony. Edward departed this life on Friday, 5 December 1710 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut.
