Marie-Anne was born on Thursday, 6 July 1719 in Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade, Champlain County, Quebec, Canada. She was christened on the same day there in Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade Church.¹ Marie-Anne married Antoine de Padoue Germain dit Belisle, son of Henri Germain dit Belisle and Genevieve-Elisabeth Marcotte, on 16 April 1742 in Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade at Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade Church.² Marie-Anne's husband, Antoine, died on 5 April 1768 in Deschambault, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. Marie-Anne departed this life on Saturday, 4 January 1794 in Deschambault at age 74 years, 5 months and 29 days. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Joseph on Sunday, 5 January 1794.³
