Joseph was born on Wednesday, 28 January 1705 in Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade, Champlain County, Quebec, Canada. He was christened on the same day there in Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade Church.¹ Joseph married Anne-Catherine Hedouin, daughter of Charles Hedouin dit la Forge and Marie-Catherine Larchevesque, on 6 March 1734 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.² Joseph departed this life on Thursday, 18 December 1760 in Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade at age 55 years, 10 months and 20 days. He was buried there in the cemetery of Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade on Friday, 19 December 1760.³
