     Mary Ester was born in 1659 in New York. Mary Ester married Captain Thomas Mapes II, son of Thomas Mapes and Sarah Purrier, circa 1678 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Mary being the widow of William Wells is questionable. She would have been old enough to be Thomas's mother & doubt he would have married someone that old - klm. Mary departed this life on Thursday, 16 May 1709 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.1
