George Adam was born on Monday, 4 June 1725 in Germany. George married Anna Barbara Haak, daughter of John George Haak and Maria Martha Appolonia Dieter, on 15 May 1758 in Berne, Berks County, Pennsylvania.1 George and Anna Barbara had children: George Adam [4/11/1759-4/16/1759], Catharina Elisabeth [6/19/1760][m. Chistopher Winter], Johann Michael [1/12/1762-12/18/1822][m. Barbara Brecht], Philip Jacob [9/06/1763-1850][m. Elisabeth Coleman], Heinrich Adam 6/21/1764], Maria Barbara [3/07/1765-3/18/1821], Christianna 1/13/1768-11/27/1837][m. Aabraham Greim], Anna Maria 5/10/1774-11/09/1844][m. Pieter Douwes Siderius] & Johannetta Catharina [3/13/1776-12/27/1851][m. Johannes Himmelberger]. George made his will on 26 January 1784.
In the Name of God Amen - I George Adam Geiss in Bern Township, Berks County State of Pennsylvania Farmer being sickly in my body but thanks be to God yet of good understanding and memory having therefore considered the mortality of mankind therefore having concluded to make my Last Will and Testament & committing therefore my soul into the hands of “God who hath given the same and my body to the earth of which equhe is taken to be buried in a Christian like manner. Ordering therefore _________how it shall be managed after my death with the goods wherewith it pleased God to bless me in my life time. I ordering therefore as follows.
As after my death my wife Anna Barbara shall have to her benefit laying benefit, during the term of four years. During the term of four years then all my personal estate shall be sold on public venue & then my son Michael shall have ten pounds first of all of my personal estate for his birthright & each of my three daughters shall be equal to the eldest in their first marriage, each shall receive the same as the other. As the worth of fifteen pounds, the remainder shall be divided in equal shares among all my children, of my personal estate
I further order that my son Michael shall have all my real Estate totally for his own forever by Deed & Deed sold therefore he shall pay each of his sisters out of seven hundred pounds lawful money coming to them thirty pounds agreeable to their birth the first time and one year after taking possession of the place & the remainder in equal shares as it will be found payable. but in which always my son Michael shall be the first _____. I further order that my wife shall have nine pounds first which sum becomes payable as long as my wife lives and continues my name. Of the second payment shall each of my children have as before performed according to their age as it will become payable. Further shall my wife have from my estate yearly as long as she continues my name eight bushels of wheat and eight bushels of rye four pounds well washed wool potatoes cabbage turnips salads & other goods as much as she yearly wants & also apple cyder & dryed apples plenty & her bed bedstead chest and all therein shall be left to her unappraised as much kitchen furniture as she has need of shall be left to her possession of the house as she before shall be free to her as long as she lives and be kept under good repair then shall my son at all times perform to her to my wife the grain & he shall have made be brought & taken to the house & as much wood as is necessary and a horse to be given to her to ride. The bed bedstead chest and what is therein shall my eldest daughter have unappraised & that I have placed. This to be my last will and testament. I order as executor my wife Barbara & my son Michael & that is my last will and testament. So I having this 26th day of January 1784. Signed & Sealed the same with my own hand in the presence of those called witnesses.

He was buried at Bernville in Friedens Evangelical Luthern Church Cemetery. The inventory of George's estate was taken on Friday, 2 April 1784 appraised by Mathias Sowermilk & John Conrad.The value of the estate was 243 pounds 19 shillings and 4 pence.
