Marie-Charlotte Garnier

     Marie-Charlotte was born on Thursday, 30 December 1666 in Chateau-Richer, Montmorency County, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Charles Garnier & Louise Vezinet. She was christened there on 2 January 1667 in the church of La Visitation-de-Notre-Dame.¹ Marie-Charlotte married Charles Maheu, son of Pierre Maheu and Jeanne Drouin, on 26 April 1688 in L'Ange-Gardien at the church of L'Ange-Gardien.² Charles & Marie-Charlotte had children: Charles [1/23/1689-11/26/1691], Noel [12/26/1690][m. 2/01/1712 Ursule Giroux, 2nd 11/08/1717 Madeleine Menard & 3rd 2/11/1744 Marie-Angelique Cadoret], Pierre [8/09/1693-4/13/1751][m. 2/11/1715 Suzanne Giroux], Marie-Angelique [3/17/1695-3/20/1771][m. 2/05/1714 Pierre-Francois Giroux & 2nd 8/21/1751 Francois Sedilot], Charles [3/09/1697-2/27/1729][m. 11/12/1725 Marguerite Levesque sditv Sansoucy], Jean-Baptiste [9/24/1699-12/22/1766][m. 2/03/1727 Marie-Barbe Leveque & 2nd 10/03/1729 Marie-Anne Loyer] & Alexis [4/25/1702].³ Marie-Charlotte's husband, Charles, died in 1704 in L'Ange-Gardien leaving her a widow.⁴ She married 2nd 22 August 1707 to Jean Girou at Beauport.⁵ Marie-Charlotte departed this life on Wednesday, 4 April 1736 in Beauport, ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada.⁶ She was buried there in the churchyard of La-Nativitie-de-Notre-Dame on Thursday, 5 April 1736.⁷
