     Marie-Catherine was born in Batiscan, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 8 June 1696 in St-Francois-Xavier Church.1 Marie-Catherine married Julien Rivard on 29 July 1721 in Batiscan, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Francois-Xavier Church.2 Julien & Marie-Catherine had children: Julien-Jean-Marie [2/02/1722-11/01/1803][m. 1/14/1754 Marie-Antoinette Vacher dit Lacerte], Joseph [3/22/1724-10/25/1756][m. 7/18/1746 Marie Cecile Lamay], Marie-Louise [3/15/1726-12/13/1771][m. 11/25/1748 Joseph Rochereau dit Vivier & 2nd 11/14/1757 Antoine Lesieur], Jean-Baptiste [7/12/1728][m. 3/04/1753 Genevieve Gautheir], Catherine [9/26/1730-4/18/1810], a child [8/14/1733], Paul [9/26/1734-5/01/1766][m. 8/15/1760 Marie-Anne Lefebvre dit Destoteaux] & Marie-Josephte [11/01/1737-2/27/1828][m. 11/21/1757 Pierre Gelinas].3 Marie-Catherine's husband, Julien, died on 28 March 1761 in Yamachiche, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. Marie-Catherine departed this life in Yamachiche. She was buried there in the churchyard of Ste-Anne on Tuesday, 24 March 1772.4
