William Woolley Fox

     William Woolley was born on Friday, 26 September 1783 in the City, County & State of New York. William married Charlotte Leggett, daughter of Thomas Leggett Jr. and Mary Haight, on 9 June 1808 in New York. In 1834, he was president of the New York Gas Company & was in business at 307 Pearl Street. The family lived at 51 Rose.¹ William departed this life on Friday, 1 March 1861 in West Farms, Westchester County, New York, at his home. He was laid to rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, Westchester County, New York, in the Tiffany Plot, lot 311-313, section 9 Spring Lake.
