John and Merribah followed sometime around 1652 and remained there for the remainder of their lives. John made his will in 1660 at Edgartown, on Martha's Vineyard, Duke's County, Massachusetts. John left his estate to his wife except for one cow which went to his daughter, Mary, and a second cow at the time of his wife's death. His son Peter was to get nothing as "he had spent or put away so much before". His house and land went to Peter's son Eleazer, after his wife's death. John departed this life circa 1660 in Martha's Vineyard, Duke's County, Massachusetts.
