Bertrand Farfard

He was christened there in 1620 in St-Jean d'Argences Church.1 Bertrand was born in Bayeux, Calvados, Normandy, France. He was the son of Jean Farfard and Elisabeth Tibou. A contract for the marriage of Bertrand and Marie Sedilot was signed on 21 December 1640.2 Bertrand & Marie had children: Joseph [8/09/1645-1666], Louis [11/14/1649-2/04/1717][m. 11/10/1671 Marie Lucas dit Dontigny & 2nd 7/19/1703 Francoise Lafond], Etiennette [5/15/1652-4/07/1721][m. 11/04/1664 Pierre Boivin], Jean-Baptiste [2/25/1656-7/27/1714][m. 11/08/1683 Marie Francoise Marchand] & Marie Jeanne [1/01/1659-1/00/1664].3 Bertrand departed this life in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the churchyard of L'Assomption on Wednesday, 3 November 1660.4 The inventory of Bertrand's estate was taken on Thursday, 30 December 1660. In this inventory, his marriage contract to Marie was mentioned.5
