Nathaniel Elton

     Nathaniel was born. Nathaniel married Hannah Torrey, daughter of Samuel Torrey II and Abigail Cowell, on 7 July 1799 in Middletown. They were married by Rev. Enoch Huntington.¹ Nathaniel and Hannah had two children, Harriet [1803] & Mary [1807], and possibly others. 30 August 1850, Nathaniel and his wife, Hannah, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Sharon, Litchfield County, Connecticut. Enumerated in this household were Nathaniel Elton [72 New York], Hannah [73 New York], Harriet 47 New York] & Mary [43 New York].² Nathaniel departed this life before 11 July 1860 in Sharon.
