     Samuel was born before 31 August 1698 in Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. Samuel married Abigail Rowland, daughter of Jonathan Rowland I and Abigail Barlow, circa 1711 in Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. Samuel made his will on 3 March 1739 at Westchester, Westchester County, New York.

In the name of God, Amen, March 3, 1739. I, Samuel Embree, of the Borough Town of Westchester, yeoman, being weak. After the payment of debts, I leave to my wife 1/2 of the remainder, in consideration of her bringing up the children; and the rest to my four daughters, Ruth, Mary, Deborah, and Hannah. I leave to my wife the use of my dwelling house and orchard, and 1/2 the profits of my real estate, until her death or marriage, and then to my sons, Samuel, Joseph, and John. I leave my son, Robert, 50 pounds. To my grandson, Samuel Hunt and Anthony Glean, each 5 pounds, I having given to their mothers, my daughters Abigail and Sarah, their portions. I appoint my brother-in-law, Jonathan Rowland, of Hempstead, and William Leggett and Moses Mollinex, of Westchester, executors.

Samuel departed this life before 16 June 1740 in Westchester, Westchester County, New York. His will was probated on 23 June 1740. Before John Robinson.
