     Sarah was born on Saturday, 8 September 1787 in Massachusetts. Sarah married Samuel Torrey, son of Captain William Torrey and Mehitable Baldwin. Enumerated in this household were Samuel Torry [72 Connecticut], Sarah [72 Massachusetts], David B. [32 New York] & George Witter [21 New York]. Samuel and David are farmers. The couple have real estate valued at $3500 & Personal Property at $1400.2 Sarah's husband, Samuel, died on 16 September 1864 in Berkshire leaving her a widow. 17 August 1870, the U.S. Federal Census listed Sarah living in the home of her son at Caroline, Tompkins County, New York.
