Ursule Durand

     Ursule was born on Wednesday, 31 January 1720 in St-Antoine-de-Tilly, Lotbiniere County, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 31 January 1720 in St-Antoine-de-Tilly Church. She was the daughter of Louis & Jeanne [Houle] Durand.1 Ursule married Jacques Martin dit Pelland, son of Yves Martin dit Pelland and Marie Piette dit Trempe, on 3 February 1747 in Lanoraie, Berthier County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Joseph Church.2 Ursule's husband, Jacques, died on 26 December 1770 in Berthierville leaving her a widow. Ursule departed this life on Saturday, 24 June 1797 in Berthierville at age 77 years, 4 months and 23 days. She was buried there in the churchyard of Ste-Genevieve on Monday, 26 June 1797.3
