Martin Durand

     On 15 November 1631, he was christened in Quimper, Finistere, Brittany, France, at the chapel of St-Esprit, St-Corentin Cathedral.¹ Martin was born on Saturday, 15 November 1631 in Quimper, Finistere, Brittany, France. Martin married Francoise Brunet circa 1653 in Quimper, Finistere, Brittany, France. Martin, wiith his wife and two daughters, left their home in France aboard the ship, "Le Phoenix de Flessingue", under the command of Guillaume Hurtini, departing from La Rochelle.. Martin died aboard the ship while in route to Quebec.
