The 1800 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Minisink Town, Orange County, New York, the family of Asa Dalsen [11110:11110].1 Asa made his will on 5 June 1827.

Dolsen, William Wallace Dolsen, John Dolsen, Asa T. Jansen, James Jansen, Charles Jansen, Claracy Dolsen, Maria Jane Jansen. Great grandchild, son of Gabriel L. Dolsen. Executors: James Dolsen, Dr. John T. Jansen & John B. Booth. Witnessed by William Arnout, Azubah Davis, Juliann Corwin. He also had a codicil dated 15 December 1827 - witnessed by James Dolsen & Peter Holbert. And a 2nd codicil dated: 25 December 1827 - witnessed by Peter Holbert, Daniel Dunning, & William Arnout.2
Asa departed this life on Wednesday, 9 January 1828 in Minisink Town, Orange County, New York, at age 67 years and 6 days. He was buried at Middletown in Pine Hill Cemetery. The inscription on his tombstone reads: Asa Dolson who Died Jan. 9, 1828 Age 67yrs. 6 days.3 His will was probated on 14 January 1828.
