Mary Dickerman

     Mary was born on Thursday, 1 May 1659 in New Haven County, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Abraham & Mary [Cooper] Dickerman. Mary married Samuel Bassett, son of William Bassett and Hannah Dickerman, on 21 June 1677 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut.¹ Samuel & Mary had children: Mary [1679-1751], Phebe [1681- ], Abiah [1684-1760], Samuel [1687-1744], John [1690-1726], Abraham [1692-1755], Martha [1695-1759], Amos [1698-1751], Ebenezer [1700-1722] & Thankful [1792-1787]. Mary's husband, Samuel, died on 8 April 1716 in New Haven leaving her a widow. Mary departed this life on Sunday, 28 November 1728 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. She was buried there in the Center Church Cemetery on the Green.
