     Jean-Baptiste was born on Tuesday, 10 July 1685 in Repentigny, L'Assomption County, Quebec, Canada. He was christened there on 12 July 1685 in the Church of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary.1 Jean-Baptiste married Marie-Madeleine Menard on 27 July 1711 in Repentigny at the Church of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary.2 Jean-Baptiste & Marie-Madeleine had children: Louis [9/03/1712-5/04/1719], Marie-Agathe-Genevieve [11/30/1713-4/22/1787][m. 1/26/1733 Gabriel Emery Codere], Marie-Josephe [8/28/1716-9/13/1716], Claude [12/09/1717-8/11/1718] & Marie-Judith-Claire [12/09/1717-9/10/1751][m. 6/26/1737 Claude Robillard].3 Jean-Baptiste's wife, Marie-Madeleine, died on 10 March 1758 in St-Sulpice, Quebec, Canada, leaving him a widower. Jean-Baptiste departed this life on Monday, 1 December 1760 in St-Sulpice at age 75 years, 4 months and 21 days. He was buried there in St-Sulpice Cemetery on Tuesday, 2 December 1760.4
