Antoine was born on Friday, 24 November 1724 in St-Etienne-de-Baigorry, Pyrenees-Atlantique, Aquitaine, France. He was christened there on 25 November 1724 in St-Espirt.¹ In 1754 or before, Antoine & his brother, Jean, left France aboard the ship, "La Marie Catherine", bound for Quebec..¹ Antoine married Marguerite Guay, daughter of Michel Guay and Marie-Anne Grenette, on 13 September 1754 in Louiseville, Quebec, Canada, at St-Antoine-de-Padau, Riviere-du-Loup Church.² Antoine departed this life on Saturday, 23 August 1806 in Louiseville at age 81 years, 8 months and 30 days. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Antoine-de-Padau, Riviere-du-Loup on Monday, 25 August 1806.³
