Sir John de Foxley

John was born circa 1260 in England. John married Constancia de Bramshill circa 1295 in England.1 During the years 1308-1309, John held the important office of Judge or Baron of the Exchequer, a position in which he sat on the bench specifically to settle revenue disputes. He was the founder of this family at Bray in Berkshire & Bramshill in Hampshire. He had a long legal career, with that and having favor of the kings brought him great wealth. In 1322, he resigned his office, and at his death, was in possession of considerable property in Bray and Bramshill as well as other estates in Buckinghamshire and Hampshire.2
