Alfred De Forest

M, b. 1791, d. 27 March 1848
     Alfred was born in 1791 in New York. Alfred married Sarah Latham Wright, daughter of Augustus Wright and Katharine Uyt ten Bogaert [second], on 2 May 1820 at the Brick Presbyterian Church in the City, County & State of New York. They were married by Rev. Dr. Spring.1 They resided in New York City. She ws a very beautiful woman - tall & graceful. It is said that her husband did not treat her well. She was a timid person & that she died of a broken heart.2 Alfred departed this life on Monday, 27 March 1848 in New York.3
