Domitille Danglade Kapeoupnokoue

     Domitille was born in Outaouais, Quebec, Canada. She also went by her bapismal name, Marie. Outaouais is in the northwestern part of Quebec, lying north of the Ottawa River, across from the city of Ottawa. Marie married Daniel Joseph Amiot, son of Mathieu Amiot dit Villeneuve and Marie Miville, on 2 September 1709 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame. The couple first moved into the territory, Pays-d'en-Haut and then returned to Montreal. Soon though, they settled in Michilimackinac where, except for the first, their children were born. The family did travel back and forth to Montreal, problably because of the fur trrade business. Daniel and Marie had children: Marie [1710-11/07/1714], Anne [3/08/1716-11/08/1757][m. before 6/12/1745 Antoine Guillory], Therese [5/__/1718-9/24/1718], Jean Baptiste [5/13/1722-12/16/1761][m. 11/23/1761 Marie Amable Sicotte dit Laliberte] & Constant Stanillas [11/14/1725-11/23/1761].¹
