Joseph was born in Ile-DuPas, Quebec, Canada. On 17 May 1712, he was christened in Sorel, St-Pierre-De Saurel, Quebec, Canada, at St-Pierre Church.1 Joseph married Madeleine Loiseau on 7 January 1738 in Ile-DuPas, Quebec, Canada, at the church of La Visitation.2 Joseph & Madeleine had children:Joseph Marie [10/29/1738-11/25/1738], Marie Genevieve [10/04/1739-11/15/1825][m. 2/1/8/1760 Antoine Brissette dit Beaupre], Joseph [2/10/1743-3/26/1743], Jacques [3/13/1743-1/26/1798][m. 7/22/1765 Marie Duteau and 2nd. 8/10/1767 Catherine Masse], Madeleine [1745-9/25/1805], Joseph Adrien [12/01/1749-12/08/1749], Jean Joseph [3/11/1751-3/12/1751], Antoine Bernard [6/24/1752-6/27/1752], Marie-Josephte [2/12/1754-9/29/1789][m. 1/18/1779 Jean-Bapitste Herard], Pierre [1/14/1756], Marie Marguerite [8/08/1757], Marie Therese [9/12/1758][m. 2/04/1782 Vital Duteau dit Vilandre] & Amable [1/17/1760-11/30/1785][m. 1/15/1781 Marie Angelique Duteau dit Vilandre].3 Joseph departed this life on Wednesday, 29 December 1790 in Ile-DuPas. He was buried there in the churchyard of La Visitation on Thursday, 30 December 1790.4
