It traces the Damon family from Deacon John Damon (1622-1708) to the present and includes background information on his English ancestry back to Henry (before 1563-1637). The author has presented this family in a clear, concise manner but with one or two exceptions, has failed to carry the female line beyond one generation. Other spellings noted are Damon, Damond, Daymon, Daymond, Deming,Demmon, Demmond, and Demond.
