Joan de Cresswell

     Joan de was born circa 1334 in South Shropshire, England, at the Manor of Cresswell. Joan de married John de Legh before 1365 in Shropshire, England. In 1365, Joan & her husband sue her mother for her portion of the Manor of Cresswell that had belonged to her late father. Her mother responded that it had been hers by dower rights & it had been assigned to her sonm, Richard. She dould do nothing without him. It appears to have stayed in the Peshalle family.
