     Jean-Baptiste was born on Sunday, 30 April 1730 in Chambly, Quebec, Canada. He was christened on the same day there in St-Joseph Church.1 Jean-Baptiste married Marie-Therese Griveault dit Boisjoly on 2 October 1752 in Lavaltrie, Vercheres County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Antoine Church.2 Jean Baptiste and Marie Therese had children: Jean Jacques [11/24/1753][m. 9/11/1780 Marie Reine Fuseau dit Roch], Marie Josephe [3/25/1755-2/09/1770], Marie Therese [8/24/1757][m. before 4/24/1785 Jacob Jacques Reinhart], Jean Baptiste [8/03/1759-2/08/1770], Francois [9/12/1761-2/17/1770], Basile [3/28/1766-4/07/1769], Antoine Sulpice [5/08/1768-8/19/1768] & Louis 8/27/1769.3 Jean-Baptiste's wife, Marie-Therese, died on 4 March 1770 in Lavaltrie leaving him a widower. Jean-Baptiste departed this life in Lavaltrie, Vercheres County, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Antoine on Wednesday, 6 December 1780.4
