Linus E. Gibson] & Sarah [1851].2 5 August 1850, Catherine and her husband, Christopher, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Tymochtee Township, Wyandot County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were Christopher Hofford [45 Virginia], Catharine [38 Ohio], children: George W. [18 Ohio], Catharine G. [14 Ohio], Barbara [12 Ohio], Conrad [10 Ohio], Mary [8 Ohio] & Lydia [3 Ohio].3 Catherine departed this life on Saturday, 30 August 1851 in Tymochtee Township at age 39 years, 9 months and 9 days. She probably died from complications of child birth. She was buried there in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. On the same stone as her huband and below his own record,the inscription reads: Catharine wife of Ch Hufford Died 30 August 1851 aged 39 Y. 9 M. 9 D.
