     Thomas was born in Brigg, Lincolnshire, England.2 He was christened there on 30 November 1839 in Wrawby at St. Mary the Virgin Church.3 Thomas married Mary Ann McLelllan on 18 October 1863 in Trafalgar Township, Halton County, Ontario, Canada.4 Thomas & Mary had one child: Bertha Eliza [1/21/1864-5/25/1926][m. 6/10/1886 Alfred Baker][buried Hamilton Cemetery].5 Thomas departed this life on Tuesday, 3 January 1871 in the Village of Bronte, Trafalgar Township. He was buried there in St. Jude's Church Cemetery on Thursday, 5 January 1871.6
