Thomas was born circa 1675 in Lincolnshire, England. Thomas married Mary Elden, daughter of Thomas Elden and Mary Dixon, on 28 November 1700 in Bigby, Lincolnshire, England, at All Saints Church.1,2 Many of the people were found in the St. Mary the Virgin Church records at Wrawby. Due to the age of these records, many were illegible or pages were missing. Due to this some of the children in these families are probably missing. There was a John Colton married 1704 at St. Nicholas Church, South Kelsey to Mary Dry. An Edward Culton and his wife Ann had son, Robert, christened at the Wrawby Church on 4 December 1718. It is possible that both John & Edward are brothers of Thomas. It has not been ascertained as to whether Thomas was born here in the Wrawby area or elsewhere. Thomas departed this life in Wrawby. He was buried there in St. Mary the Virgin Churchyard on Thursday, 22 December 1712.3

We believe one to be the father & one the son.
