     John was born in Wrawby, Lincolnshire, England. He was christened there on 9 July 1750 in St. Mary the Virgin Church.1,2 John married Mary Johnson, daughter of John Johnson and Susanna Ellis, on 5 August 1771 in Wrawby at St. Mary the Virgin Church. They were married in the presence of John Johnson & Job Bradford. John belonged to All Saints Church in Bigby at this time.3,4,5 John was a cordwainer. John departed this life in Brigg. He was buried on 2 December 1831 at Wrawby in St. Mary the Virgin Churchyard.6
