Abigail Clark

     Abigail was born in 1675 in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of Lathum Clark and Hannah Wilbore. Abigail married Samuel Thurston, son of Edward Thurston and Elizabeth Mott, circa 1695. Abigail departed this life on Friday, 30 November 1731 in Newport at age 56 years. She was buried there in the Coddington Burial Ground. The inscription on her tombstone reads: Her iieth ye body of Abigail ye wife of Samuel Thurston died November ye 30 1731in the 57 year of her age.¹
