Thomas Clark1

M, b. circa 8 March 1599, d. 24 March 1697
     Thomas was born in Stepney Greater London, County Middlesex, England, at St. Dunstan's Parish. He was the son of John Clarke and Mary Morton.2 He was christened there on 8 March 1599 in St. Dunstan's Parish. In 1623, Thomas left London aboard the ship, "Anne". mastered by William Peirce, enroute for New England. Listed among the passengers was Thomas Clark. They arrived at Plymouth on the 10th of July.. Thomas married Susannah Ring, daughter of William Ring and Mary Durrante, in 1630 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Thomas and Susannah had children: William [1634] [m. 4/01/1659/60 Sarah Wolcott, 2nd. 3/07/1777/78 Hannah Griswold & 3rd 8/03/1692 Abiah Wilder], James [1636] [m. 10/07/1657 Abigail Lothrop], Susanna [1638] [m. 12/01/1658 Barnabus Lothrop], John [1640] [m. Sarah], Nathaniel [1642] [m. Dorothy Lettice] & Andrew [1646] [m. ca. 1671 Mehatable Scotto].3 Thomas's wife, Susannah, died between 1646 and 20 January 1664 in Plymouth leaving him a widower. On 20 January 1664/65 Thomas signed a prenuptial agreement with his soon to be wife, Alice [Hallett] Nichols daughter of Richard Hallett and Mordecai Nichols. Thomas departed this life on Sunday, 24 March 1697 in Plymouth. He was buried there on the summit of Burial Hill.
