Marie-Francoise Charon Dit Ducharme

     Marie-Francoise was born on Monday, 28 April 1755 in Lanoraie, Berthier County, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 29 April 1755 in St-Joseph Church.¹ A contract for the marriage of Marie-Francoise & Louis Huet dit St Godard was signed on 26 January 1771. The notary Faribault drew up the contract stating that his parents were Pierre Watte and Angelique Geoffroy and her parients were Francois Charon dit Ducharme and Francoise Plouf..² Louis and Marie Francoise had children: Marie Angelique [2/07/1771- 12/11/1772], Marie Therese [6/18/1773-6/27/1773], Marie Genevieve [9/09/1774], Marie Anne [9/14/1775-9/27/1775], Antoine Louis [9/14/1775-9/28/1775], Marie [11/20/1776-3/14/1845][m. 6/17/1793 Francois Laventure], Archange [3/24/1778-10/26/1814][m. 1/21/1799 Antoine Fontaine], Alexis [8/10/1779-8/29/1779], Marie Marguerite [2/03/1781], Pierre [7/23/1782], Pierre 11/01/1783], a child [5/28/1785], Joseph [9/06/1786-6/16/1842][m. 1/09/1809 Josephe Rivard], a son [2/20/1788], Marie Julie [8/22/1789-9/04/1792] & Augustin [2/13/1792-9/04/1792].³ She remarried on 26 August 1793, Joseph Robillard at St-Cuthbert.⁴ Marie-Francoise departed this life on Tuesday, 8 October 1833 in St-Jude, St-Hyacinthe County, Quebec, Canada, at age 78 years, 5 months and 10 days. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Jude on Thursday, 10 October 1833.⁵
