David was born circa 4 January 1625 in the parish of Paignton, Devonshire, England. On 4 January 1625, he was christened in Glastonbury, Somersetshire, England, at St. John the Baptist Church.1 On 6 April 1630, his grandfather, Henry Penny, mentions him in his will. David married Lydia Crump on 29 August 1654 in Boston in the Massachuetts Bay Colony.2 David departed this life in August 1672 in Boston in the Massachuetts Bay Colony.
