Sylvia Catlin1

     Sylvia was born on Saturday, 29 March 1777 in Connecticut. She was probably the daughter of John Catlin of New Haven County, Connecticut. Sylvia married John D. Stedman II, son of John Stedman I and Mary Frances Hotchkiss, circa 1798 in Hartford County, Connecticut. 9 August 1850, Sylvia and her husband, John, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Unadilla Township, Livingston County, Michigan. Enumerated in this household were John Stedman [74 Connecticut] & Silvia [72 Connectticut].2 Sylvia departed this life on Wednesday, 23 April 1856 in Unadilla Township, Livingston County, Michigan. She was buried at Unadilla Township, Livingston County, Michigan, in the Baseline Cemetery.3
