Andre was born in 1640 in Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Agen, Guyenne, France, at the parish of Ste-Catherine. He was a tailor. Andre married Cecile Janot, daughter of Marin Janot dit Lachapelle and Francoise Benard, on 17 November 1670 in Montreal at the Basilica of Notre Dame.1,2 Andre and Cecile had children: Francoise [2/08/1672-1/21/1682], Cecile [10/15/1673-2/13/1753][m. 11/10/1692 Jacques Chaperon], Andre [9/29/1675], Marie [10/24/1677-3/30/1742][m. 5/04/1699 Philippe Leduc], Francoise [3/02/1680], Joseph 4/24/1682], Antoine [11/06/1683-3/25/1736][m. Marie Madeleine Fontblanche dit Quesnel], Catherine [12/09/1685-12/22/1743][m. 8/06/1725 Jacques Massy dit St Hilaire], Marie Therese [6/15/1692-5/31/1699] & Jacques [2/01/1697].3 1681, Andre and Cecile were listed on the Canadian Census in Notre Dame de Montreal.
