     Matthew was born. Matthew married Sarah Treat, daughter of Richard Treat and Alice Gaylord, circa 1644 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut.2 Sometime after 1666, he & his family removed to Newark, New Jersey. Matthew departed this life in 1673 in Newark Township, Essex Bounty, New Jersey.
