Pierre was born in 1665 in Champlain, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. Pierre married Marie-Therese Aure, daughter of Rene Aure dit Grandmont and Denise Damanee, on 31 January 1690 in Champlain at the church of La Visitation.1 He is on record as a church warden in the years 1693 & 1694 and again in 1718 at the parish of la Visitation in Champlain.2 Pierre's wife, Marie-Therese, died circa 24 July 1724 in Champlain, leaving him a widower. On 22 March 1739, Pierre asked his sons, Alexis and Marc-Antoine to sell the goods belonging to his wife and their mother, Therese. On 5 January 1741, each of the surviving children received 50 livres from the sale. On 2 April 1739, Pierre gave to his two sons, Alexis and Marc-Antoine all of his posessions to be distributed to his children. He received a receipt in full from all of his children, except Joseph, in December of 1740, a month before they acknowleged receipt of their share of their mother's property.3 Pierre departed this life on Monday, 14 September 1744 in Champlain at age 79 years. At his furneral there was a priest from each of the 4 villages of the region, showing the respect and influence he and his family held.
