Israel Burritt

     Israel was born in 1687 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He was the son of Stephen & Sarah [Nichols] Burritt. Israel married Sarah Coe, daughter of Captain John Coe and Mary Hawley, on 4 March 1719 in Stratford at the Old Congregational Church. Israel & Sarah had a daughter, Mary [6/12/1719][m. 5/11/1741 Daniel Merwin Jr.].

Israel's wife, Sarah, died on 6 February 1732 in Durham, County Durham, England, leaving him a widower. Israel departed this life on Friday, 19 June 1750 in Durham at age 63 years.
